The Yerington Paiute Tribal Council is honored to serve our community and uphold the sovereignty of our nation. We work tirelessly to protect our rights, preserve our culture, and ensure that every member of our tribe has access to the resources and opportunities they need to thrive.

Through collaboration, transparency, and dedication to our traditional values, we build a stronger future for all generations of the Yerington Paiute people.

Meet Our Tribal Council

Ginny M. Hatch

Chairman

Ginny began her Tribal leadership journey in 2019 and served as Vice-Chairman before her appointment as Chairman of the Yerington Paiute Tribe. With a background in Environmental Policy from Sierra Nevada College, where she served as Secretary of the Native American Club, Ginny has long been committed to advocacy, community service, and protecting Tribal interests.

Her work as a Tribal Environmental Professional has focused on sovereignty, capacity building, climate science, Traditional Ecological Knowledge, and environmental justice. She also served on the Regional Tribal Operations Committee as a Representative for Nevada Tribes and played an important role in asserting the Tribe’s right to meaningful participation and consultation regarding the Anaconda Mine Site.
